Lonely 08:23
I got old and now my head hurts, I got a feeling baby that I hit pay dirt the day I met you, but you don’t feel it too. All the stones they throw they keep missing, I walk on tall, I keep wishing I wasn’t waiting until you think about me when you’re lonely. Until you think about me when you want someone to hate. When the lights go out and you’re all alone and the cross you bare is all but gone, because I think about you when I’m lonely. I should take back the words I keep wishing that I never said but I never will, I’ll just complain that I’m misunderstood. And I know it’s good to keep hoping but why would I hope when I can pretend that you’re waiting, and that you think about me when you’re lonely. That you think about me when you want someone to hate. When the lights go out and you’re all alone and the cross you bare is all but gone. Because I think about you when I’m lonely.

No Masters 02:56
A wise man once said to me that hearts are for the breaking. I will turn those lies into beliefs. This muck is for the raking. I want to know why I feel so slow, walking into town when the beast says no. You told me to wait you said the lord will know. But I know something he don’t. We don’t see eye to eye. We’ll dive into the belly of the beast and take it as it comes. And hope this night will open up the seas, but you’ll need more than four horsemen. You are not alone.
3.
Walk Tall 03:17
Let me walk you through this heart attack that ends in fifteen. I’ve got my mind out of the gutter but my conscience is far from clean. I want to see you walking taller. I want your memories to fade. I’ll cut my body if it takes your pain away. Keep your diamonds baby because I don’t want them back. You said they stood for hope but hope is lost, their weight it broke your back. Listen to your heart now as it rolls off all its beats. Packed the sentiment in the backseat baby now we’ve got all we need to face the world. The hardest part was knowing that the worse was yet to come. Now the hardest part is knowing that the damage has all been done.
4.
I remember the day that we met, your eyes were cold as steel, but you took your time and told me time would heal. You said, “These heart attacks, they’re meant to move mountains, don’t be afraid to crumble down. Within the wreck you might find what I found.” That each lie is based around all the rules that keep us bound to the lonely times and all the fading sounds. I need a lover that won’t drive me crazy. You want a lover that won’t make you cry. We can’t be either so baby why do we try? We try because of those times we remember. We try because when it was good it was grand. We try because there’s no line drawn in the sand. We need time to make things right but time ain’t on our side, so pack it up and shed your dreams tonight. Because the words can’t be undone. Can’t put the bullet back into the gun. Because maybe, just maybe, I ain’t the one. Did you forget how to believe? Took that heart and brushed it right off your sleeve. Or maybe I’m just clinging to a dream that I’ll never see. Because I’ve been holding this candle for such a long time. My body is weary, my hands are on fire and I would forget you if I could desire anyone else, but I’m not worth it. I hear you work for the government now. Turning screws and taking bows while young hearts keep breaking down. Now the centerpieces rot, with the dreams that time forgot. But maybe, just maybe it’s all we’ve got.

Raging Fires 03:17
One of us is dying soon, one of us is crying wolf, time will tell, what we reveal. One of us must take control, try the innocent and all that goes with the tyranny of your industry. Huddle close to me now and we’ll all stay alive tonight, as we think back on memories of people we used to be down by the raging fires, all those nights. One of us won’t see the morn and everything we thought was wrong, we’ll file away our guilt and shame. You curse the body but the body won’t break, so you hide your heart in a box to make sure in time they’ll see, our rivalry. Huddle close to me now and we’ll all stay alive tonight, as we think back on memories of people we used to be down by the raging fires. Where we’d sing about heartache, defiance and enemies, all with the hint of a smile. Because the world isn’t ending so I won’t pretend that I would wage my life for a prize.

Left Behind 04:34
Taken before your time. Drawn in by the sound and the blinding light. I want you to think in rhymes and hope that they will guide you back tonight. I want to know why you left me behind with all this shit going on inside of my mind. We don’t need to worry about the chance that we never did take. I will never be discouraged. I’ll follow those rhymes through whatever it takes. I want to know why you left me behind with all the shit going wrong inside of my mind. What if the fences are bigger in heaven? And we can’t seem to climb our way back out. Well we lied our way in anyhow, crossed the lake of fire. Now you and I won’t share this dream tonight.

Lo Siento 03:03
It would be easier on my own but the past won’t leave me alone. I want you to forget me but time is the enemy and I won’t ever be free from all these words until I fall into your arms again. Can we make it work? Until I fall into it baby. I know what you’re dying from. My honesty, it never was enough. But who are you to wonder why the loaded questions lead to loaded lies. Now I’m waiting by the phone for a call that will never ever come. I want you to notice me but time ain’t a friend of me so I will never be free.
8.
Well I hear you’ve gone from bad to worse and heartache is setting in. And all the demons you look for now crawl under your skin. As audiences wane and everything seems lost now, a ghost of hope remains. In the hard times, when the mind spins, I’ll be by your side. Through the dark remedies and enemy retreats, I’ll be by your side. Through the constant flames of fire within. Forecasts of rain that we’ll never see again. It’s all gonna burn down. In your hand you clutch a photograph that links you to a time. It slows you down but offers up the easing of a mind. You say it always ends the same, but maybe with my help my love it won’t end like that today.
9.
I want to know how to dance to the beat of your drum. While all the winners advance their way to the front now one by one. We’ll give it all that we can, time will tell if it’s right. Just know that towing the line towards the lights just ain’t my style. They all want to be alike. Why make the same mistakes twice? We cross the floor while they sit tight. Why make the same mistakes twice? You curse my body, I will cleanse your mind. I want to know how to roll out of this city tonight. Because all of the lies and all the smiles are way too bright. And if we ever survive with our feet in the fire. We’ll know that standing for what’s right is harder than lining up for desire. My body, your mind.
10.
Sit back and watch your friends thin out as complications bury the good intentions that once were clear now no longer seem so necessary. In a history of shadows, you beat down peasant led revolts. Direct the fear to keep them scared, just pray they don’t find hope. All we do is ride the waves we’re told and right on time the beating started. How are we going to save the world like this? Right on time the bleeding started out. The conscience is a phantom limb. There’s traces left behind. To feed the few we’ll starve the rest. There’s no need to say they’ll be reminded that one hand will wash the other, time and time and time again, as fortunes favor the fortune makers and we’re left for dead. We lost our city when we lost our hope.

Faceless Men 05:03
Maybe you’re right and something bad is gonna happen tonight. Keep the divide as wide and wait for cracks to show their signs. Gather ourselves, combine ourselves. All we’re left is one more climb. We never thought we wouldn’t make it. It’s time to make it right. But time won’t wait for anyone. We work hard for faceless men who never walked in our shoes. We’ll cross state lines to defend the little we have to lose. The stars will never align, of that there is no doubt. And all the sentimental walls we build, they’ll hold us all to account. There’s too many irons in the fire, it’s gonna burn the whole thing down. We thought we were free agents. A faith lost in the crowd. But time won’t wait for anyone. As we lie and wait for anyone to come and save us.
